Cleansai ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles information when you use our services, and applies to Cleansai on iOS, Android, and macOS.
Note: This document is also shown in-app under Settings → Privacy Policy. If the two ever differ, this page (the version linked from the App Store / Google Play listing) is the one that governs.
Cleansai is designed with privacy-first principles. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on our own servers.
All analysis, including photo and video scanning, contact inspection, cache detection, and storage measurement, is performed entirely on your device. No scan data, photo, contact, or file content ever leaves your device to servers we control. The only outside data flow is described in section 4 (Third-Party Services), which covers our advertising provider.
To provide its features, Cleansai requests the following on-device permissions:
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): used specifically to find and let you delete leftover folders under Android/data and Android/media left behind by apps you've already uninstalled. We only look inside those two folders, never your personal files, and nothing is deleted without your explicit tap.QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES-free <queries> API). This list is processed entirely on your device and never transmitted.Cleansai offers an optional Pro subscription (monthly, no free trial: you are charged immediately upon subscribing) processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive, store, or process your payment card information directly, only a purchase status token confirming your subscription is active.
Ads are removed as soon as your subscription becomes active.

Cleansai shows ads to free users via Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads). To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID), approximate location, and ad interaction data. This is handled entirely by Google's SDK, not by us directly, and is separate from the on-device analysis described in section 1.
On iOS, we ask for App Tracking Transparency permission before any ad request that could use your device's advertising identifier for personalization. Declining still shows ads (non-personalized), and never blocks app usage either way.

On Android, we use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and diagnostic data (such as device model, OS version, and the point of failure in the app) so we can fix bugs, and Firebase Analytics to collect basic engagement data (such as app opens and session length). We do not log custom events beyond what Firebase Analytics collects automatically. Neither is linked to your identity, and neither includes your photos, contacts, audio, or file contents. iOS and macOS do not currently use Firebase. The only other third-party communication is with Apple App Store or Google Play for subscription validation.
All app data, including settings, scan results, recycle bin contents, and notification preferences, is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (Hive). This data is never transmitted off your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Cleansai does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Our app does not target children. If you believe a child has used our app in a way that violates this policy, please contact us.
Because all data remains on your device, security is governed by your device's operating system protections (iOS Secure Enclave / Android Keystore). We recommend keeping your device OS up to date for the latest security patches.
We do not collect or store personal data on our own servers, so there is no such data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf.
You may delete all local app data at any time by uninstalling Cleansai. Recycle bin contents and settings are removed automatically.
Our advertising provider (Google AdMob, see section 4) does process device/advertising identifiers for ad delivery, which some privacy laws (including California's CCPA/CPRA) may treat as a "sale" or "share" of personal information depending on configuration. You can limit this: decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS, or use your device's ad settings to opt out of personalized advertising / reset your advertising ID on Android. We do not sell or share data beyond what's needed for ad delivery through AdMob.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of Cleansai after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
